This post is in response to the daily #freewrite challenge. It was suggested by
, and supported by the #freewriters community. It's an interesting challenge. This is probably the first time I've attempted a five minute #freewrite. I honestly felt like five minutes would have lasted longer lol.
The prompt for this Eggsalad.
Here's my first attempt:
I think eggsalad is a good prompt word. I'm blessed. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm blessed; because I don't always feel blessed. I actually just recently had some eggsalad. It was tasty. Eggsalad is simple enough to make, and pretty hard to mess up.
I've been working all week. My typical six days straight. Before the mess we currently find ourselves in. I'd been hoping to cut back and take a break. Yet I'm blessed. I see my friends stuck at home. Suffering through the feelings that come with being forced to stay home. I talk to them, and listen. I let them unwind their frustrations. I'm blessed.
I feel their pain, I sympathize with them. I had one particular conversation with a friend. The day after he decided to stay home. I found myself almost saying, "Your lucky to have a job". Then I shrugged it off.
I'm guessing I don't really understand the psychology behind a free write. Yet I enjoyed it. I kinda just wanted to keep going. Yet I admit this was fun. Didn't expect it to go in the direction it did. Yet I appreciate the inspiration.
I would highly recommend doing one for yourself if you haven't yet. Check out post for more information.
