Gad, an elderly man, dislikes eating fries or burgers that weren't made by him. He believes he cooks them better and it would be a real waste of money to eat anything less delicious.
In his neighborhood was Simon's eatery where fries and burgers were sold, but he never tried any of their meals despite the great reviews he sees about them.
"They could fake the reviews," he often says whenever he sees videos of customers rating the eatery.
One fateful day, he came back from work late and couldn't cook anything because he was tired. He decided to get a burger from Simon's eatery, not because he wanted to, but because that was the only choice left for him at the moment. He got an ice cream too, hoping it would serve him if the burger didn't taste good.
He got home and decided to take a few quick bites. For a moment he seemed unsure about the taste and took another bite—this time paying more attention to the taste. He nodded in delight as he took a bigger chunk of it. It tasted better. He couldn't believe how good it tasted compared to several others he had eaten in his youth.
"They have just gotten a new customer," he mumbled softly. He was going to reconsider his decision not to eat outside, he thought.
