What is more appropriate? Glass of water or cup of water? It depends, of course.
First of all, is water cold or hot? Glass is more suitable for cold beverages, cup is better if your drink is hot. Especially if cup has a handle.
Then there is personal preference. Many people love drinking from ceramic cups because material adds to the occasion of drinking. Glass is plain, cup is special. Maybe.
Any other distinctive ways your could compare or decide which container is your preferred type? What would you choose?
My choices are:
glass for anything cold - beer, wine, soft drinks, juices, ...
cup for coffee and tea
Although, I do drink hot water every morning - from glass. Next on menu is cup of coffee, usually.
So, cups are important part of my life. Who would have thought that.
