His powers came with both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages being that he could know the state of emotion of any one and he could help in so many ways. While the disadvantage was that he could not see his own emotions as such he had always found it different to believe people's feelings towards him.
One day he met a lady whose power was to neutralise other power when in contact or close proximity to her. At first this intrigued Lewis but as time passed by he started developing feelings for her. Everyone kept telling him about his feelings towards her, that it was visible and he could not hide it. So he had to face his fear and confronted his fears by telling her how he feels. That was the beginning of their life journey together. Love can't be hidden, it is visible.
