The human memory is very special. Imagine a task that has become a habit, and all of a sudden, it’s being forgotten, or someone you have known for more than half your entire life, yet you can’t remember that person.
I had observed a few cases online, and that was how I had learned that there are different stages. People with severe case always find themself in the middle of somewhere and sometimes in the middle of nowhere.
That begs the question, during this stage of being absent, does time pause for them until they remember, or are they stuck in limbo waiting for reality to drag them back? Also, what if time does not stop, and it simply moves more slowly than in reality?
All these are just my speculations, and I really commend those trying to find a cure, and I really hope they do because I can only imagine the pain of being forgotten.
