It was raining that night we met, and I couldn’t stop thinking of her. How did I let her go without getting her contact number?
It was already 5 p.m., and I was on my way home. The weather forecaster had predicted a heavy downpour, but the sun was up in the sky in its full glory, like nothing would happen. I got to the bus stop, and no bus was coming. I waited for a bit, and there came this beautiful lady. She was tall with brown skin, and she had a long braid on her head. I kept looking at her until it got weird, and she asked me if there was no problem. I immediately replied, "No problem, but I just couldn’t stop being amazed by your long braid as it matches your beautiful skin and lovely face." She smiled, and we started a conversation.
In a short amount of time, the sky became dark, like it was in a hurry to make me ask for her number, but I couldn’t understand what nature was telling me. I took off my jacket and covered her hair as the rain poured down so heavily. The bus came around but couldn’t see us, so I ran after it until the bus driver stopped the bus. All she could do was laugh as we both humped into the bus.
In a short while, she got to her destination, came down, and waved me goodbye. I waved her back while smiling. I got home and realized I never got her digit. I still look for the lady with the long braid.
