En realidad, la imagen y el título no tienen nada que ver. Una idea de ayer que se mezcló con otra de esta mañana cuando le daba un vistazo a las efemérides de este día.

Entre los acontecimientos históricos y los días dedicados a diferentes temas, me llamó la atención que coincida el Día de la pizza con el Día del dentista, y solo puedo imaginar que sea por el hueso de la aceituna. Por eso en casa, para cocinar, preferimos usarlas sin hueso.
En otro orden de ideas, como siempre están registradas batallas, coronaciones y otros sucesos relacionados con el poder.
Una batalla entre la armada argentina y el imperio del Brasil, la jura de un rey que no sabía hablar la lengua de sus súbditos, la quema de un obispo en la hoguera y los ataques de un pirata a las costas colombianas.
Pirata que consiguió que su gobierno elevara a la condición de noble en lugar de ahorcarlo por el simple detalle de solo cometer delitos en otros territorios y darle parte del botín a la corona.
Pero lo más hilarante puede que sean las celebraciones norteamericanas del Día del Chocolate coincidiendo con el Día del Dolor de Muelas.

Como ya comí pizza ayer, hoy me abstendré de repetir y dejaré el chocolate para otra ocasión, y en cuanto al dolor de muelas, celebro no padecerlo, aunque fuera luego de haber perdido todas, casi todas ellas.

A pirate who managed to get his government to elevate him to the status of nobleman instead of hanging him, simply for committing crimes in other territories and giving part of his loot to the crown.

But perhaps the most hilarious thing is the North American celebration of Chocolate Day coinciding with Toothache Day.

Since I already ate pizza yesterday, I'll abstain from repeating it today and leave the chocolate for another time. As for the toothache, I'm glad I don't have one, even if it was after having lost almost all of my teeth.
