She lived in one of the white washed cottages at the end of the lane that led to the lake.
Kevin knew this because he followed her one day.
"Are you a stalker, now then, Kev?" Jeff said, when he told him.
"Er..." Kevin said. "No, I was just making sure she was okay."
"I think you are a bit of a perv," Jeff said.
Kevin changed the subject and didn't speak of Bethany again.
But he continued to watch her.
He wasn't being weird, he was sure of it.
In fact, he wasn't even sure if he liked her or not.
She just fascinated him.
Ever since she had moved into the area she had made an impact on him. She wasn't especially pretty, and she was so quiet, she hadn't made an impression on many people, with regard to her personality.
But there was something about her that made Kevin want to know more.
In fact, he was certain he did know her.
That he had always known her.
His gran believed in past lives.
Perhaps he had known Bethany in a past life.
