Gleb's goopy pink skin steamed in the heat of the desert, a few more miles and he would finally arrive. It had been an arduous journey from his subterranean home, he was hot and angry. The only thing keeping him going was his desire for revenge. Oh yes, he would show them. As he trudged along a trail of slime was left behind, bubbling as it corroded everything it touched.

Chaos turned decent people into animals as they slammed into each other, attempting to go their preferred direction in the crowd. Many fell beneath the feet of the rampage, as the masses of bodies surged like waves. Most tried to run away, while others pushed their way towards the monster. With outstretched arms they held phones above their heads to catch footage of this 8 foot tall freak, who was tearing through the city with it's caustic wake. A few blocks up a police barricade was hastily constructed, the officers lining up behind it to take aim at the beast.
The clamor died down as the dripping pink monster approached the barrier, many onlookers holding their breath in anticipation of the clash. It's not every day you see the police fight a monster after all! Scattered clusters of deafening shots filled the air with debris as bullets ricocheted off the Thing. The abomination walked on, its apparently impenetrable skin perfectly intact. Now things truly got out of hand. Those who held the role of keeping order found themselves running with the rest, as the monster hopped over the barricade to continue on.
The set was equipped with high end appliances at each station, gleaming stainless steel polished to perfection. Cast iron pans hung over commercial sized stoves, mixers held their blades high ready for action. The hosts of this program shared a lively dialogue as cameramen panned over all the details. Back stage, nervous chefs mentally prepared themselves for the challenge that would earn one of them the Master Munch Medal!
"All right Joe, let's get cooking! Our first contestant on today's show is..." Mandy abruptly halted mid-sentence, open mouthed as her face went white in terror. "No one move! You will hear me!" The voice of the monstrosity was strangely human, it spoke with a British accent. Striding into the set, it looked determined... well as much as a giant gooey pink creature can. "It's me! The next contestant is me! The one who will bring this thing home!" he announced with an appalling smile. Mandy scrambled to grab on to something conversational as her heart hammered. This was live after all.

I didn't know what to write about today, but not writing isn't an option! I am currently on day 9 of writing for at least 2 hours a day, and I'm not losing my streak now! So I asked for help from the most creative person I know, my daughter Thea who is four. Here is how that went.
Me- What should I write about today?
Thea- The monster. He's so frustrated!"
Me- Oh no! Why is he frustrated?"
Thea- He just wants his medal!"
Me- His medal?? What is the medal for?"
Thea- Cooking! He's the world most special good cook!"
I hope you've enjoyed my attempt to bring my daughter's idea to life, it sure was great fun to write! Thanks for reading :)
