Emotional Agony
What pain is this that knocks my heart’s door down?
What phantom haunts my inner chambers’ peace?
What forces make my limping body drown,
Silencing noises until they do cease?
Thus are my nights after my pointless days
plowing the sea of endless maladies.
Daedalus couldn’t’ve planned a crueler maze
to hide his Minotaur’s depravities.
Beyond this madness, still I hear your voice
reminding me of promises I made.
Your distant face guiding every right choice
A light in the dark for a vessel strayed.
Thus flows our emotional agony
Until we meet again as family.
