The Club
Across the road from our house is a really beautiful country club, they have verdant park-like grounds. It’s gorgeous!
My mom and I went out to do our DreemPort exercise pledge for the day and it was sublime. We walked around and admired the well kept lawns. The place is immaculate. They have a casual restaurant and bar area and although I understand that we weren’t supposed to be out to sit down and drink a glass of red and order pizza - we did, and it was like a breath of fresh air in the dark of the pandemic. Earlier this week we went to the first coffee shop we’ve been to since Covid hit and today we went to our first restaurant. YaY!
Unfortunately giant cumulus clouds sailed into our section of sky and we couldn’t sit and enjoy the early evening, which in Africa is alway a gift perfumed with florals and a thousand braais (barbecues) alight on the coals. Impending rain sent us scurrying home...cool runnings.
So for Dreems, I did my walk, I did my meditation (prayers), I drank my water, posted my post and visited DreemPort. I also made one or two new friends, it was rather fun. Yorkie, my beautiful baby puppy, was gifted biltong by a friendly dude (it was amazing because Yorks didn’t bite him).
Fun, fun fun, thanks DreemPort, I can’t remember when last I enjoyed myself quite so much!
