Club de Poesía of the Hive account@freewritehouse corresponding to December 29, 2021 (see here) summons us to its contest based on two words; to that call my exercise attempts to respond.

Permanencia del tiempo
Constancia de las horas y sus avatares
La duración dilatada
era su presente que quería
hacerse escritura cierta
del hondo espíritu
de la zozobra y el dolor
del misterio y su vislumbre

En su interior vibraba
el presagio del canto sacrificado
la palabra buscándose
a veces traicionándose
elegías al ángel del amor
himno a la rosa de la noche
diálogo de árboles y sus aves
en la brisa de la página

Orfeo era el santo y seña
que nimbaba sus días
y las bacantes este vacío
este silencio de tinta
que se hacía diario y testamento

Permanence of time
Constancy of the hours and their vicissitudes
The dilated duration
was its present that wanted
to become certain writing
of the deep spirit
of anxiety and pain
of the mystery and its glimpse

In its interior vibrated
the presage of the sacrificed song
the word searching for itself
sometimes betraying itself
elegies to the angel of love
hymn to the rose of the night
dialogue of trees and their birds
in the breeze of the page

Orpheus was the saint and sign
that nimbiated his days
and the bacchantes this emptiness
this silence of ink
that became diary and testament
