When I think of this week's ZAPFIC50 Friday challenge prompt "jacket" I'm reminded of the traditional definition meant as a cover for something. The cover is meant to indulge a person or an object with protection by being sort of a guard against the elements or any other reason.
I wanted to explore another version of the word that brings fear to humans and animals and definitely doesn't desire for the jacket to be anywhere near them. Instead of protecting, this jacket brings harm wherever they roam if anyone accidentally disturbs it. I share a flash fiction story told in exactly 50 words for this challenge created by 
My story is below:
"Volleyball anyone? Your team is going down today!" Barry predicted.
Returning to the table exhausted, Anita screamed.
From half-covered sodas, food, and pastry baskets, out flew numerous insects.
"Yellow Jacket," Barry warned.
All fled, avoiding the vicious bites.
They had no idea the predators had swarmed their picnic.
Lesson learned.

Cuando pienso en el tema del desafío ZAPFIC50 Friday de esta semana, «chaqueta», me viene a la mente la definición tradicional de prenda que sirve para cubrir algo. La prenda está pensada para proteger a una persona o un objeto, actuando como una especie de escudo contra los elementos o cualquier otra cosa.
Quería explorar otra versión de la palabra que provoca miedo a los seres humanos y a los animales, y que definitivamente no desean que la chaqueta esté cerca de ellos.
