This week's ZAPFIC Monday challenge centers around the prompt "hay" and presented the opportunity to explore an alternate version for the traditional meaning for livestock food. As a medical condition, hay is associated with allergies. However, symptoms can include sneezing, coughing, and headaches, these may be indications of other illnesses and must be taken seriously when all other known conditions are ruled out. Never discard minor symptoms. I share a flash fiction story along those lines.
