When life gets really hectic, sitting quietly with a book can feel like an impossible luxury. Any shred of free time is too easy to fill with more work, more worrying, more commitments, and of course with more aimless scrolling. This doesn’t require strict goals or reading challenges. All you need is a willingness to dedicate a few minutes a day.Perhaps to build a few new habits like what works best for me is choosing just the right book.
Despite the constant grind of my weeks,I still make some time to turn some pages if something in those pages pushes through my distractions. It is basically the content that compels you to continue reading. As if something so powerful in those words that hypnotise me.I wonder how the writers can withstand the tsunami of these feelings within their souls.
We rarely get feedback on our communication style in casual conversation. However,I have learnt that when we notice and appreciate how someone expresses themselves, we are seeing them in a way most people don’t.Everything has a story. The unusual necklace someone’s wearing. The book they’re carrying and so on.
Life can sometimes feel hard.Situations might go wrong. But by nourishing ourselves with positivity,it is not that our difficult feelings disappear, but they become quite a bit easier to bear.Later on,we can move forward with more clarity, courage and acceptance to meet challenges ahead in our lives.Self love is the key.
I read this book and If anyone wants a gentle yet spiritual or philosophical self-help book then The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom is the perfect pick.
Author Miguel Ruiz shares four quietly powerful agreements to live by, so you can free yourself from the core sources of human suffering.Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, the Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness and love. The Four Agreements are,
