Cherishing a Priceless Gift
The manner in which we treat our properties tells the value of such properties. Ranging from the quality of materials used, the efforts in the making process, the monetary worth of the gift, the giver of the gift, the occasion in which the gift was given and etcetera.
Ma Tegwa, an elderly well nourished elderly woman in her late 60s who had mastered the art of knitting from childhood being a family business. While growing up, she had always wanted to become a Journalist against the wish of her parents who had a local knitting company. The proceeds from the knitting company were invested in her career as an expert in Economics and Business Management which were just valuable for head knowledge. She played a vital role in building the family to a world-class business as at the time in times of industrial mechanism, expertise and investments. But she preferred to maintain a local branch for the business where she often made had knitted cloths, shoes, bags, etcetera. She had been a boring divorcee who never found love due to the fact that most men who approached her always disguised love while selfishly plotting to benefit financially. And the one time she had the opportunity to see true, she was blinded by her past experience. Let us not focus on her love and romance life.
So, being a woman with shattered dreams in career and love, despite a successful business portfolio, she remained a sad woman and tried to find comfort in her local knitting cubicle.
After so much research and hard word, she came up with a perfect design of a red and white knitted sucks like shoe to feather any weather at any time. The white designs beneath were strategically made with fiber materials to bear weight and to making walking fun. The color was specifically chosen because of love, care, affection, brightness and much more good things attached to color red. After completion of the beautiful piece, she displayed it on the rack for the most beautiful and expensive items of the company on display. This area was meant for the Kings and queens to patronize.
Ma Tegwa had always engaged in philanthropic gesture. But this time, a young child kept coming seeking for help with anything that could help him cope with the weather. Ma Tegwa quickly made as usual an average material which was quite easy, less expensive and wouldn't cost so much. Within some weeks, the material was worn out.
Ma Tegwa spotted the child in the cold of the night with so much pity in the worn out material, and it struck her to do something extra.
At the end, this nicely piece of red shoe suck was handed to this child and the child she also took in as an adoption.
It was a win-win for Ma Tegwa and the new stranger who had found a home a future and pet mosi (the cat).
Lesson, TRADING AN EXPENSIVE PIECE OF GOODS, MATERIAL SERVICES IS WORTH HAPPINESS WE SEEK FOR IN YEARS. THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS MONEY CANNOT GIVE US UNTIL WE DECIDE TO DO GOOD BEYOND OUR USUAL PHILANTHROPIC EFFORT.
