One of the most common excuses people make today is, “I don’t have time.” But the truth is, everyone has time, the same 24 hours each day. What differs is how we choose to use it.
Time is a gift from God, given equally to the rich and poor, young and old. The difference lies in our priorities. When people say they don’t have time to pray, study, rest, or work on their goals, what they often mean is: “It’s not important enough for me right now.”
We make time for what matters to us. If entertainment, scrolling social media, or idle talk can take hours of our day, then we do have time, we're just spending it carelessly. Excuses steal opportunities. They rob us of growth, progress, and purpose.
Instead of saying, “I don’t have time,” ask yourself: “What am I doing with the time I’ve been given?” A purposeful life starts with intentional use of time. Plan wisely. Wake up earlier if you must. Cut off distractions. Focus on what adds value to your life and others'.
Ephesians 5:16 says, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” That means we are called to make the most of every moment.
Stop complaining. Start acting. Time is not your enemy, your excuse is.
