Tall, dirt-stained buildings
Majestic churches with pointy spires
Clean streets and busy people
A mosaic of a time forgotten
Delightful shrieks of robust children
Blue skies atop lush green landscape
A touch of calm within careful chaos
Flickers of untainted moments
A piece in a mural of millennia
Of love, lives, unending songs
Moments slipping through the mesh
Their value beginning to deteriorate
A speck in eternity
Of a memory almost lost
Captured in a fading mural of value
Once it is and may never be.
I hope you enjoyed reading this poem. It's inspired by the Freewrite #dailyprompt phrase "beginning to deteriorate".
