What I see
I see a young teenage boy with an elderly woman surrounded by vegetation, having a lovely family time. From their faces, I can see the resemblance so I believe the teenager is the grandson and the woman is his grandmother.
What I feel
Grandmother and grandson are both smiling and talking at the same time. I feel their excitement, loyalty and love. It shows clearly on their faces.
My story
"Granny! Granny!" Happy called out as he jogged towards their house with his laptop secured under his arm.
He glimpsed his industrious, strong, eighty-two year old grandmother, with a basket under her arm as she walked out of the house and headed towards the vegetable garden they cultivated behind the house.
This is one of the reasons he loved to spend his holidays with her in the quiet village rather than in the city with his family. Aside from the silence and calm that saturates his village, he enjoyed being close to nature.
The trees and vegetation, chirping birds that sing him to life every morning, the drips and rush of the lake located some distance from his grandmother's house are things he looked forward to every time he traveled down.
His grandmother turned at the sound of his excited voice, playfully scowling at him. "Young man, I do not have the time for this. The weeds will not uproot themselves…" She stopped talking to stare at him pointedly. "You seem excited. What is it?"
Happy grinned at her, tapping his laptop lightly. "You would not believe who is online. Guess?" He taunted her.
She chuckled and thought what a delight it was to have Happy, amongst her four grandchildren, spend time with her every holiday. She always looked forward to his visits and wondered when he would outgrow his youth and dependence on her love before he finally stopped coming around like his elder brothers and sisters.
"Hap, tell me or no grilled chicken salad for you today!" She wagged a finger at him and shoved him with her basket.
Happy gasped and pouted mockingly. "C'mon Granny. Don't do that. You know how I like my salad."
"Well, you better start talking!"
"Hehe. Okay… It's Glory and her babies. The surgery was a success. They want to say hi!"
"Ooooh! Glory, my baby! Well, raise the lid of your lap-thing and let me talk to her."
"Granny! It's a laptop! Not a lap-thing!"
They both laughed and sat down while Happy opened his laptop and they enjoyed a video call with other family members. It was a heartwarming moment for Happy's grandmother and the scene was ingrained in his memory.
