As the darkness of the early morning slowly gave way to the first light of dawn, I stirred in my bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. It was Tuesday, October 7th, and my wife wasn't around, it was another busy day layed ahead. My son, Princewill, needed to get to school, and I had to get to work as early as possible.
But before any of that could happen, I had to start my day with a familiar routine: cooking breakfast. But that day was a little different, I decided to cook something special for Princewill's lunch box, a delicious Spaghetti meal.
I know what you're thinking... Spaghetti for breakfast? But trust me, it's a game-changer. As I made my way to the kitchen, the clock on the wall read 4:00 AM. I began by boiling water for the Spaghetti. Next, I heated some oil in a pot and sautéed some onions, garlic, and tomatoes.
The aroma of the cooking ingredients filled the kitchen, and my stomach growled in anticipation. Once the Spaghetti was cooked, I mixed it with the prepared sauce and added some seasonings. The result was a mouth-watering dish that I knew Princewill would love.
As I packed the Spaghetti into Princewll's lunch box, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction. It's not easy being a working dad, representing my wife when she's not around, especially when you have to wake up at 4:00 AM to get everything done.
But it's moments like these that make it all worth it. I thought about all the other dad's out there who, like me, are always up and doing in the absence of wife. But I know that l'm not alone. I'm part of a community of strong, dedicated men who are doing their best to raise their families and pursue their careers. We may not have it easy, but we are resilient, resourceful, and determined.
As I finished packing Princewill's lunch box, I called out to him to come and get ready for school. He stumbled into the kitchen, rubbing his eyes, but his face lit up when he saw the Spaghetti and gave me a hug. I smiled, feeling a sense of joy and fulfillment. It's moments like these that make all the hard work worth it. And as I took him to school, I was eager to drop him in his school and return back to face another busy day.
