An American citizen born abroad (Bremerhaven, Germany), with a hometown of Bowie, Maryland USA. Army vet with 10 years of service, currently traveling Asia and enjoying the challenges of building a co-working space in Da Nang Viet Nam.
My new venture is called Pom-Eats, A coworking space we set up in a hotel right next to the ocean. I'll be talking about that and more here.
Stoicism, meditation, co-working, and mindfulness have been the things I have been gravitating towards this year, I see these practices as my building blocks for a better life in 2021.
Last year we were all forced to become more familiar with the art of being alone and reducing our footprint socially. For some, it was life as usual for others it was a terrifying experience but we all came out of the last year with an altered perception of our daily lives.
I entered the new year with a different type of energy, the lockdowns gave me a chance to reflect on my missed opportunities and the current state of the local economy here in Vietnam. It was time to attempt something new and coworking/events is what I decided on.
In a year where our communities have been forced to splinter due to lockdowns, I wanted to concentrate on bringing us closer together and focus on sharing the importance of collaboration during adulthood.
With the help of my coworking space, I want people to remember that even though we often work alone interaction with other human beings is essential and should not be something we grow out of. We may leave toy blocks, legos, and skipping ropes behind but the act of play and social interaction stay in our schedules.
Thank you for introducing me to the Hive blog, I can't wait to share my experiences here.
