Greetings All
Thank you to everyone who reached out about Princess. I greatly appreciate it. The wild flowers I planted with her burial has started to sprout, and in time I will share those blooms with everyone.
Until then, I have a small update to share with all of you today. I was going to include the following part, and then realised that the update would have been nearly 4000 words and I didn't want to do that to you guys. So, please enjoy the next update. Also, thank you 
Pura had woken with a start and sat upright in the bed as soon as a Saith had come to check on him. The doctor took a few moments to make sure that the human wasn’t going to attack him before he said. “You were knocked unconscious. You may have some nausea and vertigo. I would strongly suggest that you lie still.”
He spoke slowly enough for Pura to understand him, and the human King nodded his head. He lay back and groaned when the back of his head made contact with the pillows. He had found the bump. He was unsure of where he was for a moment before everything came flooding back. Saita’s last words to him had been so hate-filled it had shocked him into not moving which was why he was far enough away not to have his face ripped off by the thing that had attacked Saita. He didn’t remember much after that.
“There are a few ladies who wish to see you.” Said the doctor as he looked past the door. “Are you up to seeing a few people?”
Pura nodded his head. He was barely through one nod when Myla stormed into his room. She was in such a state he could barely understand her.
“Myla, calm down.” He said gently as he sat up again. “What?”
The woman once more started yelling about something before one of the other women who had entered with her said. “She says that Saita is mortally wounded and has been in surgery for about three hours.”
Pura looked at the older woman as she sat down and set a basket to her side with some balls of wool and knitting needles. The other woman, at least as old, was leaning against the door with a frown. Her tattooed skin was clear to all who looked.
“I’ve been asleep for three hours?”
“Closer to four. It took some time to stabilise the girl to be able to have surgery, plus they needed blood.” Said the tattooed woman.
The one sitting down started knitting a square of bright orange while the other continued to just look at the human king. They appeared so calm while Pura could feel the panic set in. He had not wanted it to go this way. He had wanted Saita to jump at the opportunity to come home, not baulk at it. He wanted her to want to be at his side, to see her parents and siblings. How could everything have gone so wrong so quickly? He wiped a shaky hand across his face and tried to rein in his feelings. He needed to contain them, he needed to let everyone back home know that he was alright.
“Myla sit down.” He ordered.
The panic-stricken woman did so as her tears started to flow.
“In fact, you need to go have a shower and calm down.” He turned to the woman in the room and said. “I didn’t catch either of your names.”
“Silens.” Said the one with tattoos before she pointed to the other woman knitted. “Aurus. We are the Queen’s mothers.”
“Ah…”
“I adopted her and Silens is her birth mother.” Said Aurus without looking up from her knitting. “She has two fathers too.”
“Could I request some way to contact my advisors on my home world? And then something to just calm this poor woman down.”
Silens nodded her head once and left the room. Aurus continue to knit as Myla sat tearfully looking at the door. Hoping to get some news about her child. It didn’t come that hour, or the hour after that, or the one after that. Pura had made the various calls he needed to, and she had had her shower and was now sitting and looking at the door once more. Every now and again Aurus would look up at Silens, but the other woman would just shake her head. They were clearly communicating about something but were not ready to talk to those in the room. Until a doctor appeared and simply nodded her head at the two women. They left the room as silently as they had arrived.
The red-haired doctor carried a folder and had it open as if checking some results before she spoke slowly in a language, they could all understand.
“Saita is out of surgery.”
Pura signed in relief, and Myla could only hug herself.
“Quite a few broken bones and deep lacerations.” The doctor refused to look at them but continued to read from the file. “We stopped all the internal bleeding for now but…”
“But?” demanded Myla.
The doctor took a deep breath and continued in a shakier voice. “One of the components in her body has been irreparably damaged and honestly, we don’t know what is going to happen because of it.”
The doctor put the file down and added. “There is nothing more we can do for her at this point. She is unconscious and we are keeping her unconscious until such time we know what we can do for her.”
Pura sprang to his feet and demanded. “I want to see her now!”
“I can’t let you do that.”
“And who are you exactly to have that kind of power?”
“I am Doctor Sash, and I can’t let you see her because you are not family. I only reported to you because she is a human, and she was representing you. No other reason.”
“I am her mother!” shouted Myla.
“To my knowledge, Saita was banished from the human realms and is tied to no one. Until such time that I know otherwise, you will not be permitted to see her.” Sash nodded her head just once, then left the room.
And while that must have hurt Myla, the fact is that it is true. For those of you that were confused over what Saasha said last week about my and our mother to Bolx, I hope you understand now.
Aurus adopted Saasha. Silens is Saasha's birth mother and also the mother of Bolx and his triplet siblings Siar and Gatex, who you will meet later.
