What I see
I see an elderly man holding a stick in club. With his head covered with traditional attires, but wearing a jacket with a paint in his forehead. And every other person in club is with a splash of paint in his face or body.
what I feel about the picture
I feel it was a new celebration and the old man in the picture has been dragged to the club by his son. And the activities in the club remind him of his younger self.
now the story
It was a new year celebration, as it was the culture that they paint their faces and body as a sign of good omen for the future. Aminta a local Chief is very happy for the coming back of his son who stays in America. And having a full house filled with his children and grandchildren is a dream of every grandpa.
It was fun evening, after all the auspicious occasion of painting and wishing the whole children and grandchildren a blessed new year by Aminta, his son kapul had practically dragged him to the car after Aminta try to resist going with him.
" clubbing and partying is not for people of my age " Aminta had argued. "
"I heard you were a good dancer, I will like to see that" kapul his son said.
" yes, I was good at that, girls used to flock at me for my dancing skill" he said with pride.
" then, let us go" kapul said.
Wear this, kapul said while handing his father a jacket that was hanging in the car. It was a 20 minute drive to the town where the club was situated. All argument for Aminta to drop his stick in the car was aborted.
The music was loud and everyone seems happy. Aminta was confused at first of what or how to join the dancing. The dancing steps were strange to him. And also look funny to him. His mind took a flash back to when he was young and how he used to gather a circle of admirers of his dance steps, while he display his dancing moves in the middle. The dancing moves had changed a lot and also look funny, he thought, while smiling to the dancing moves he was seeing.
