A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Looking at this image right now makes me want to order something similar. The feeling is one of joy at being able to have these foods and enjoy them.

One very hot afternoon, like the ones we're experiencing in my country, Venezuela, in the city of El Tigre. Whoosh, the power went out due to the sector-by-sector electricity rationing, and it was this sector's turn… this happens for various reasons that don't make sense to explain here.

We looked at each other, and that look said, "What do we do for these four hours?" We went out, we stayed. I wanted to go somewhere that offered fast food, where the place was air-conditioned, everything was fresh, and we could have a pleasant time, away from the daily grind of power outages.

So, we went. We didn't think about the cost, just about getting out, cooling off, and having a different experience.

We found a place, and we stayed there. Fresh, tasty, and not crowded, we could really enjoy the air conditioning. Now for the surprise: the power had just gone out at this place, but something interesting happened, as is happening in many establishments that offer this type of service. They immediately turned on the generators to continue working under better conditions and serve the customers.

For a moment we thought, "What a joke! Escaping our hot homes and look at us now." Well, the card went through, meaning that without checking our balance, we realized we still had money in our account. So that joy lasted as we enjoyed our order. Pleasant atmosphere, until we decided to go back home because the four-hour time was up, to return to our routine and make progress on those activities that we left aside due to the lack of electricity.
