Here's my entry on writing prompt Access
ACCESS
“Knowledge is given to only those who deserve to advance,” the message flashed onto Trevor’s phone. “ Knowledge is restricted from those who are not ordained.”
He flipped the phone over to erase the message. His eyes focused on the tiny screws as he undid the back cover. Underneath, there were circuits. He knew what to do, but no one else knew that he knew. First the GPS tracker was rerouted by plugging a jammer into the USB slot. Second, the battery was removed to reset the system. And, then the bugger program was uploaded.
He flipped the phone back over and powered up. Three blue bars danced across the screen. He added a new user name, an address, and an ID. Then powered off the phone.
On the way home, he powered on again and stopped at Rita’s Food Store. He loaded his buggy with Fau-Milk, Powdered Eggs, and English Bean sausage. At the check out, his phone beeped. Someone paid for the groceries, someone with access, but it wasn’t Trevor today.
