Lately, I've been facing many unpleasant things in my corporate journey. Things really started to be what a typical corporate culture is, as we move towards our investors, they are taking all the controls gradually, and we have started to feel the real taste of how the corporate culture is!
To be honest, I'm not liking it. Losing control of our own management rules and policies, getting merged and included in the bigger picture. Big game, harder difficulty, and maybe that's why we are finding it hard to accept a little bit.
Well, there are a few things that have worsened as well. It feels sad to see someone suffer due to someone else's negligence. And here in corporate, people don't even care about the fact that someone else is suffering; they're like professional, no place for emotion. But sometimes, some situations are beyond acceptance. Lemme tell you a situation, you got an internship of three months, so when it ends, you are supposed to be taken in, or rejected, right? Or they can extend the internship as well. But whatever the decision is, you will be notified and offered, right? But here, due to your performance, you are marked to be in, unofficially, by the supervisors that we need you. But the management delayed starting the paperwork even after repeated reminders to them. Now, he had to continue as intern for an extra 15 days even after he was verbally confirmed that you are in for a permanent position. Guess what, even after those extra fifteen days, they still couldn't get that approval, and so they had to extend the internship by one month once again. He was expecting an offer later to get in as a permanent member, and he got an extension once again.
Is this acceptable? The mental breakdown. These kinda incidents end up destroying the trust of an employee. I tried my best but couldn't do anything. I have seen many places where they are making mistakes, spending unnecessary money, and where it's necessary, they are messing up at those places, which is really pathetic. What will happen? Due to some circumstances, he will continue here but will look for a better place than this. Will lose motivation to own the responsibilities, rather will take these just as mere tasks, won't get attached to stuff which creates huge impacts.
So yeah, these corporate rules, regulations, bindings, politics, and all are coming around me very fast. The whole setup is being changed, and most of those changes aren't suitable for us, nor are we able to adjust, as things are always against our favor at our places.
