Last Thursday, I was assigned to a task, it got dependency as well, like when I'm done, then someone else will get started on top of that. And guess what, Monday is finished, and I'm yet to get on it properly. Why so?
The thing is, I don't know why I'm like this. Unless or until the deadline knocks on my door, I don't wake up. Now, here I am, I need to deliver by tomorrow, in the first hour. The craziest thing is, even during office hours, I was anticipating something like that, but still I didn't move my ass to get it done. Keep that hung for now, as if my nights are the working hours.
Also, it's an old project, a PoC kinda thing. Back then, I knew it wasn’t that fit for us, not gonna shift on that, and so I had some shortcomings. But now, as time passed, they now wanted to shift on that, and for that, they got more manpower and skills as well. Now I'm in a perplexed situation; if I end up failing, then this project will get transferred to someone else, which will be very bad for me. No matter what, I must get done with that.
The workload took almost weeks in the past; now, if I start to restructure the architecture and all, it would take some time for sure. Or if I just polish the past one and hand it over, then that gonna be full of bugs and more troubleshooting workload in the future. So I'm in a dilemma. I will most probably go with restructuring the whole architecture as well as the past one.
Why both? I will showcase the progress and logic of the new one, even if they want something quicker than the past one, and later, I will replace the old with the new once done. I think this is the best bet till now for me. Whichever end I choose, I must hurry; the clock is ticking.
You may say, " How am I gonna pull off the workload within a night that took weeks in the past, right? It's the AI, my previous experience, half-done over stuff. The mixture of all these is gonna help me do it in time, or maybe the base stands are worth showing the potential. This time, I'm not gonna leave any stone unturned. Make the best architecture so it stands out in all cases, performs better than the previous states.
So yeah, my special tea with coffee is ready, I'm sure it gonna keep me awake for almost two to three hours. If I can focus properly, then it should be enough for me. Then a nap, and then set out for the office in the morning.
Have a great day,
Take Care!
