I think I have talked about the use of our mouths to get paradise. Yeah, I'm gonna talk again on that related matter, but with another context. Our mouth, what we talk about, and where we are talking really matter a lot. Even fair speech can sometimes be discomforting in some places.
For a long time, I had issues with when and what to talk about and would lose sense of the correct speech at the correct place, or like telling the right thing in the wrong place, which often places me in discomfort or trouble. Yes, we should know about the place and circumstances before speaking about anything, especially when it's a tense situation or the matter is something serious. In those cases, we should be extra careful about this.
There are numerous examples of this, so lemme start with the most recent one that triggered me to write on this blog.
In our office, we do call ourselves "corporate workers" to mock us sometimes. We are on the tech side of the departments; there are more like the Business and HR operations dept. We got good cross-departmental bondings, oftentimes we would sit and burst out in laughter during our conversations. No matter how good our bondings are, we can't be as limitless as our conversations are inside the four walls of Tech, right? Also, the entire tech isn't as comforting as a tiny group of people is, which we call friends group even inside tech parameters. We would oftentimes use those tiny groups to vent out our frustrations, anger, confusion, jokes, disagreements, and whatnot.
Like, an internal tech group, there we got almost the closest people of tech, even some former employees, our bonding grew so much that we are still active there just like old times. Now, everything we say in this group can't be said in plaintext before the whole tech team; things must be redacted. Even if we go beyond the tech, then we must be redacted more of the stuff, right? Thats how it goes, and that's what we're doing, staying extra careful not to do something that might get unpleasant to anyone.
In BD, the government changed. We, the gen-z doesnt like much the current governement but still they are in power, right? Like, we can sit for hours and curse the government about what they did wrong, and are still doing. But again, there are far more things beyond these; people who do business have to maintain lots of things. And such a person is one of our seniors, most seniors. to whom lots of things depend in the company as well. Now, he has interests in the current government that is in power. To be honest, he got ton of connections on the upper board of the government, so it's beyond that he will be in favor of them for continuing his business, growth, and all. Now, would that be good to talk about how bad the current government is, given that he is one of the most senior in the office? Things might be uncomfortable for him. I know he won't be protesting or anything, but as he is in a collaboration of interest, it might be discomforting for him as well as us.
So yeah, we gotta be careful about that, like what we're talking about, before which group of people, and when we are talking, sometimes the situations aren't an ideal one to talk about everything at that moment.
