The line of people to enter the spaceship was quite long, and I was the last in line. Only a thousand people could travel to Mars. While I was in line, I had time to think about what would happen to the rest of the humans on earth. It didn't seem fair to me.
Little by little I moved away from the line, without anyone noticing me, and I blended into the shadows. I ran to the road and climbed up the hill. From there I could see the sky and the constellations. No matter what happens from now on I don't feel afraid, rather, I feel free. Blackout.
