This is my post for #freewriters 2299 prompt luke warm welcome hosted by
Little Rudy is growing so fast. Even though I no longer bottle feed him, I still take him out of his cage each evening and give him treats to eat. Tonight when I took him out I gave him a grape and a piece of watermelon along with his rabbit snack. He always goes for the rabbit snacks first, which he did today, but he was giving the watermelon and grape a luke warm welcome. I had cut the grape in half so I picked up half and held it to his mouth, he ate it. I did the same to the other half and he ate it, too. But he is still not sure about the watermelon.
When I give Rudy his snacks I sit him in the chair beside me. A couple of days ago, I was talking to my husband and not petting him, one of the dogs barked and scared him, I saw him jump but did not see where he landed, I screamed for my husband and daughter to get the dogs. With the dogs locked in a room, we hunted for Rudy but could not find him. By chance, my daughter looked in my chair and he was under my blanket. I guess when I screamed, he jumped back toward me and he was so fast that I did not see him.
