This morning, my sister called and said there was a water leak at her home. She is living in my mom's double-wide house trailer, which has another single-wide house trailer attached to it, but it is not livable. She heard water leaking from the water heater in it, and the pump was running nonstop.
I am not feeling well today, and I would rather drive off a cliff than go over there and work on plumbing. But I could not tell her no.
She came and got me, and I took our PVC glue, pipe cutter, and what fittings we had. I also had a shut off valve. When we got there, I found the valve to shut the water off and found an old pipe the same size as I needed and it had a shut off valve on it so I cut the pipe going to the water heater and put the shut off valve on it. Problem solved.
She wanted to go to Home Depot and get potting soil, but when we got to US1, we saw yard sale signs and she did a U-turn, and we went yard saleing. The first one was an estate sale and the people must have thought they were selling items from some high class antique store, they had nothing under 20 dollars, but my sister was trying to show me something to read and I told her I could not read it without glasses and the lady said here take these, you can have them. At the next sale, I bought 2 pairs of jeans for 6 dollars, she did not have much else there.
One road over was another sale, and as I walked up, the man said all that stuff over there is free. I got a cordless phone with 4 phones and an answering machine on it.
I also picked up this box and asked if it was a nebulizer, he said he did not know but thought it was an oxygen machine. I asked how much for it and he said it was also free, it has several packages in the box with hoses and other things that have never been opened.
