This is my post for #freewriters Friday prompt low key hosted by .
Back in the old days when the river was full of fish and fishermen it always amazed me how fast word traveled. The fish house would know you had a good catch of fish before you pulled up to the dock. All of the fishermen had CB radios on their boats and when one saw something, everyone knew about it. There was no keeping where you caught your fish a secret.
This is the only good thing about there not being many fishermen left on the river, it is easier to keep things low key. I fished today and caught 142 pounds of jacks. There has not been much fish coming in so I know this will get some people excited.
I could have caught more but both of my coolers were full. A couple of days ago my husband told me that he quit, and I could have his bait, which I took today. Now after me catching these jacks he says that he is going to go run the traps tomorrow. I was going to run them but I guess I will not do it now. He never goes on the river on the weekend, he can not handle all of the people. I guess I will run them Sunday.
I took that huge bandage off today, I thought that he took a small area out of my jaw, the last cancer that was taken off was about the size of the end of my little finger. I was shocked at how big this one was. I look like Frankenstein.
