When the company that my daughter worked for closed, she took a job that she did not want but had to take. The company she worked for is opening a new program in Texas and offered her the job of running it but until they are ready for her, she had to take this other job. This job hired her as a therapist even though she is not qualified for the job and she has a problem with this fact.
Yesterday she was telling me about a conversation that she and another new employee had with the secretary, the secretary told them that she has not stabbed anyone in a year now, she is on meds but carries two knives with her at all times. She said when people make her mad, she stabs them. I am now thinking that my daughter should have trained to be a black belt.
Today she was telling me about how she does not have an office or even a desk, she has a chair in a room full of other people. She said she had something to throw in the trash and asked where the trash can was at and the secretary told her that there is none. She said she had them all taken out because people threw trash in them. I asked what do you do with your trash? She said she has to walk out to the parking lot and there is one out there.
To make things worse, this is a State-run job, if I wanted to be a therapist, they would make me have all kinds of degrees. I guess where the State is concerned it is "not do as I do but do as I say".
I hope that Texas gets everything sorted out so she can quit this job. But then that would mean that she will be moving and I am going to miss her so much. Texas told her that if she would come to try the job for 30 days they would pay her way and back and also they would rent her an Air B&B for the month. If she likes the job, then she can come back here and get all her things to move out there. I just know that she is miserable at this other job.
I almost forgot this, she told me that in her GPS she named her workplace Hell, and this morning it tells her that she was 4.7 miles from Hell.
