This is my post for #freewriteSunday prompt water tower hosted by
I was able to fish two days, the first day I caught thirty trout that weighed 83 pounds the next day we had a cold front come through so we did not fish. The day after it was still blowing but it was going to be the best day for another week so we went even with it blowing. I caught 13 trout that weighed 38 pounds my husband caught 11 that weighed 30 pounds. There are not many places we can fish where we are out of the wind. I tried two places out in the wind and I caught a 23 inch trout but my anchor drug and I was to close to the island and after dragging the anchor I did not try to re-anchor. The next place I tried the anchor drug before I could get a bait in the water and I was right on top of an underwater bar.
We have been home for over a month and the weather has been nice, we start fishing again get two days and now it is going to blow for the entire week. Mother Nature is hard to work with.
Because it was going to blow all week, I pulled all my traps out of the water. I did not want to leave them and have fish and crabs trapped with no food because I could not get out to rebait them.
I pulled the pigfish traps that I had straight out from the Roseland water tower first. Then I pulled the ones that were between Judahs and Mays Island, for 27 traps I only had 20 pigfish, not good at all.
Next, I pulled all of the crab traps, I have 7 in the water and got 15 crabs from them which is not that good but better than nothing.
