She came complaining to me.
Madam: So somebody can not have peace again! Somebody cannot drink and keep the cup in peace! What is all this nah?
Me: Please can you explain better because I don't understand a thing from what you said.
Madam: She's always watching my mouth when I talk to find fault. So I look like an illiterate to her. See, I'm a graduate and someone cannot tell me what to say or how to say it. She is becoming something else, I did not say she should not learn but let her keep it to herself, ah this is too much!
That was when I realized she was talking about her daughter( my learner ) I busted into laughter.
Madam: I know you will laugh, see this thing is entering her brain, small thing she will tell you that word is incorrect, try to pronounce your words correctly. Ah! I'm I her mate? She will not even correct with respect. She will be like "Mum that word is wronggggg now pay attention let me teach you"!
Me: laughing hard. I thought it was something serious.
Parents/guardians, please let's encourage our children to implement what they are learning. Laughing or making jest of them will only discourage them to do better.
As a parent or guardian, have you had such an experience?
That was how I laughed when I remember that incident.👇
