Muchos de nuestros jugadores con el tiempo confesaban que enfrentarse a Maradona, Zico, a Ronaldo y esos grandes jugadores les causaba cierto temor, entraban a la cancha con cierto nivel de inferioridad ya que veían a sus contrarios como dioses. Era común leer en las noticas titulares que decían Argentina impuso su autoridad ante una débil Venezuela. Ciertamente la autoridad se gana con respeto y méritos pero también solemos otorgar más autoridad a las personas u organizaciones por nuestro propio miedo.
