Going back to the Simpsons, I want to go ahead and prophesize that someday a Latino like me could be president of the United States and in a situation like this I would do things differently than him.

En primer lugar comenzaría con un diálogo y una escucha activa sobre la realidad de muchos de estos migrantes; si bien es cierto que hay algunos que han violentado la ley ,más del 90% de ellos se diferencian de estos delincuentes porque son trabajadores honrados, que buscan lo mejor para su familia. También haría diferente a él el diseño de la política migratoria, cambiaría el enfoque para la regularización de los inmigrantes indocumentados, analizando las causas y el origen que los llevaron a establecerse en esta nación norteamericana, A diferencia de él no criminalizaría al que no tiene papel.
Por último a diferencia de el, no militarizaría la respuesta de las protestas. Los que vivimos en América latina sabemos muy bien lo que sucede cuando este tipo de personal asuma el control de las calles en cualquier nación.
