We went to sleep with clear streets, clear skies and some of us, clear heads. Overnight, just like that, it happened! We woke up in the morning to streets covered with snow, skies covered in clouds heads covered with hats and to-do lists.
Normally, snow would be a burden. The extra hassle of shoveling driveways, brushing cars, adding layers of clothing and anticipating traffic. But the snow brings on a different meaning today and this week. It is not resented and ridiculed but rather anticipated and encouraged. It is not met with the usual "ew" but rather a peaceful and exciting "aw". What makes the snow different today and the rest of this week? It is the same substance that induces the feeling of burden and loathing.
There are so many instances that are filled with parallel and polar opposite interpretations. Perspective is everything. Where I see light you see dark and vice-versa.
Let's take this time to think about the perspective of people, events and circumstances in our lives and potentially turn them around in our favor.
Happy Holidays
