Amigos de Hive, esta es mi participación en el A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words - 3/12/2022, que organiza 
Sin duda, ha sido dura la jornada, pero gratificante. En este trabajo uno pierde la noción de las horas y confunde la noche con el día porque debe estar listo para responder a los llamados en cualquier momento, en cualquier circunstancia, dejando de lado cualquier cosa que estemos haciendo cuando suena el silbato.
Cuando entré al río tuve que nadar contra la corriente que me arrastraba con fuerza. Pateé contra la furia de las aguas hasta superar la situación y alcanzar a la niña que daba manotazos en los remolinos del río. La arrastré con mis dientes a la orilla y se las entregué a mis compañeros humanos para que le aplicaran los primeros auxilios. Ahora me toca descansar porque la faena ha sido dura para un viejo perro bombero como yo.

Without a doubt, the day has been hard, but rewarding. In this job you lose track of time and confuse night with day because you have to be ready to answer calls at any time, in any circumstance, regardless of whatever you're doing when the whistle blows.
When I entered the river I had to swim against the current that dragged me strongly. I kicked against the fury of the waters until I got over the situation and reached the girl who was slapping the eddies of the river. I dragged her to shore with my teeth and handed them over to my fellow humans to apply first aid on her. Now it's my turn to rest because the job has been hard for an old firefighter dog like me.
