She'd gotten a well earned break, but now it was time to get back to work. The first job was a lead part in a new musical on Broadway. Not Broadway NYC mind you. This was better than that. This was the Broadway to end all Broadways, the one a few blocks from her childhood home, where everyone knew everyone and their business, but no one had heard from her for years and years before her well earned break of late.
Circumstances had her slinking into town in the middle of the night. She had not paid taxes in eight years, and the Feds were after her. She knew they had no case, but she wasn't up to the fight, so she took off and hid where no one could possibly expect to find her - back in the hillbilly town she grew up in, a town that time had forgotten.
It was probably not the best idea to get up on stage again, if her goal was to remain incognito. A bit of surgery, some medical adjustments, and a new name would serve to hide her adequately.
Tracey was now a Dick.
This is my entry to The Freewriters Community's daily freewrite challenge. Today's prompt is a well earned break.
