World-renowned cryptocurrency expert Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Etherium admires Hive and decentralization in some of his pronouncements on Twitter.
Although this isn't news after all because the statement and tweet made by Vitalik Buterin was posted three years ago, but in reality it still ring a bell among users who are newbie in the Hive community.
Vitalik Buterin is considered as one of the leading voice and most recognized face in the cryptocurrency community after successfully putting together the most valuable blockchain called Etherium at the age of 20 which is quite an accomplishment.
The statement of Buterin although it was posted during the infancy of the Hive blockchain in 2020 but it was indeed a motivational factor among early adopters of the Hive Blockchain.
According to Vitalik Buterin on his tweet "I am not ignoring Hive! Definitely respect that community's successful fight for self-determination and what it's accomplished since then."
The statement on Twitter by Buterin was his reply to a tweet earlier made by Twitte user Vulture's Pick who asked Vitalik Buterin to please study Hive.
Vulture's Pick tweeted "Pls study Steem -- Hive and u will get answers to most of your questions. Pls don't try to pretend to invent something that is already there by intentionally ignoring it. #steem #hive."
After getting a reply from Vitalik Buterin, Vulture's Pick also responded by acknowledging Buterin and noted that this has been the best opinion he was able to get from industry stalwarts. He is happy to see that Vitalik always reference to this Steem to Hive episode in many of his articles related to blockchain governance issues in pos/dPOS/pow.

According to Vulture's Pick, Vitalik Buterin posted the following on Twitter "The optimal governance structure for early-stage projects is founder dictatorship. The optimal governance structure for mature projects has large user/stakeholder involvement. 'Exit to community' continues to be underrated as a way to get both." Vitalik tweeted.

How Dit It Started?
Everything started with the entry of Justin Sun to the Steemit community and the Steem blockchain but through community participation and revolution, Justin Sun was not able to control Steem resulting into the creation of Hive, a hard fork of the Steem blockchain.
The conflict between the Steem community and Justin Sun proved once and for all that the community once united will never be defeated by any entity who wants to control their future.
Vitalik Buterin also tweeted that Hive stands a test of time in demonstrating whether self-independence will be achieved. He even trusts that the Steemit community seeks to have full autonomy and decentralization through the hard fork.
The tweet of Vitalik also noted that blockchain governance is ought to be enshrined in autonomy, and this will be achieved if Hive surpasses Steem. This will be a perfect indicator of the community being at the helm as decentralization is not for sale.
Here's Vitalik Buterin's tweet way back the year 2020: "This seems like a potential positive watershed moement in the history of blockchain governance. If Hive (the fork) overtakes Steem it would be a strong demonstration that the community is in charge and cannot be bought."
