Rima opened the door and saw Don standing there. Don asked, "Did I disturb you?"
"Long time no see, but you haven’t yet stopped your drama?" Rima smiled and said, "Come on in."
Don put his bag aside and said, "Rima, give me sanitizer first. My flight got canceled, and all the hotels were closed. Then I thought about you, but I forgot your phone number, so I came without informing you."
While getting his hands sanitized, Rima said, "Don’t talk nonsense. It’s good that your flight got canceled, and you still remembered our address. "
"Oh, thank you."
Both laughed and asked about each other’s families. Don asked, "Where is your husband? Is he sleeping? "
"He has gone to Chennai to attend an important meeting."
"Oh, so I can’t meet him?" Image
"No, maybe not this time unless you stay here for next three days. Go get fresh. Meanwhile, I will prepare food for you."
"Yeah, is there something ready?"
"I have some cooked food ready."
"That’ll be fine. Give me a couple of sandwiches and a cup of coffee, please. I will be there in a few minutes. "
Don went to the washroom, Rima came to the kitchen, and she prepared vegetable sandwiches and tea.
Meanwhile, Rina’s mind reached into the past, when she and her husband lived together with Don six years ago in the same city. Later, she came to Mumbai with her husband and family! Their families lived together in the same society for ten years and had a lot of fun. Their families enjoyed life together. They took several trips abroad together as well.
Later, Bill, Rina’s husband joined Mumbai branch, and after Don joined his new company, their meetings became rare. She still remembers their last meeting when Rina went to her parents’ house in Bengaluru. She still remembered the last meal they had together at Don’s house.
Suddenly, Don came from the washroom and brought her back to the present.
