Life has many great moments, many rewards, but also many moments that can lead to pain and suffering. You really should be able to take the good with the bad and everything in between. It is hard to deal with a lot of the pressures of the world, but without the pressures, you might not grow into half of the person that you are. Life is all about balance, and in the end, we appreciate the finer things of life more if there are some harsh alternatives.
If life was perfect, life would be absolutely boring in a way. We would start to losing appreciation for the things that we make us happy. If we had grown to expect a lot of those actions, that good only leads to good, then we will just find ourselves stuck in a rut. If only good things happened to us, then really there is nothing to fight for.
Sometimes, good things do not happen to good people. Sometimes rather awful things happen to the nicest, kindness people. And some utter spiteful people get away with a lot more than you could imagine with just thumbing their nose right at everything. Is it fair? No, but it really does put forth a very important lesson. Life is full of those tests and those trials that we need to get through.
If we kept right on a certain path, we would not feel the need to deviate from that path. We would keep doing the actions. Yet there would be no need for fulfillment and no need to step right outside of the box. Therefore, we just keep doing the same right things, and that leads to us doing the same absolutely boring things.
People have to suffer to understand what it means to enjoy. There has to be evil to understand good. Hate must exist to understand love. War has to occur for peace to be properly appreciated. The world is about contrast. We don't appreciate the things, until we experience the alternative.
We must take both the good and the bad to get the most out of life.
