When I first began doing the freewrites, I mostly wrote fiction. Now I find myself writing about my life and experiences instead.
A spider web is a lovely and intricate creation, woven carefully by the spider itself. I prefer to view an empty web, because spiders are not my favorite creature on earth. I was quite scared of them when I was a little girl. My big brother knew that, and so he would torture me with his big black rubber spider. Tsk tsk. Now I don't mind spiders as much, unless they sneak up on me. And sometimes they are just 'way too big and 'way too ugly for my tastes. A year or two ago, a spider built a web in the corner of our doorway. It was a nice web, and a harmless, useful spider, so we all tried our best to duck and not run into it. I've found webs in the vegetable garden, and on flowers. We have some sort of spider in the house that we call Daddy Long Legs (although they may not be those exactly) and they leave long, drape-y webs along the edges of the ceiling, especially in the basement. I don't really mind those spiders, because they usually stay up there on the ceiling and mind their own business.
Thanks again to for yet another freewrite prompt. If you've never done a freewrite, check out the rules here.
