What an appropriate prompt for me today! I spend two hours out in our garden this morning picking green beans. I planted a different kind than usual this year. These are called Maxibel French Filet beans. They get much longer than the ordinary green beans I have planted in the past. I picked two 5- gallon buckets nearly full. My husband and daughter helped snap them, and the results filled my big bread bowl. I pressure canned 12 quarts and one pint of beans. Had to run the pressure canner twice! I am borrowing the canner from a neighbor, because my pressure canner gauges are still at the county extension office, getting their annual check for accuracy. I put it off too long, and now they are there while the beans are going nuts in the garden. Thank goodness for generous neighbors who offer to loan me equipment!
I have been very busy with the garden, and have quite a few pictures to add to an upcoming post, if I ever find the time to do it. I just decided this evening I would take 5 minutes to do a freewrite, at least. I will add a photo of my beans to this after I get recent photos loaded onto my computer, possibly yet this evening. (Done, but it took a long time, because I have a new phone and it took a while to find what I needed and set it up.)
