Rainbow Trail
Don't be quick to judge the storm
The storm is not an enemy
but a gentle hand
Sweeping dust from
the surface of the sky
Dispelling the wrong shadows
Opening a window for the moon
So that it can dance in
the lap of the night.
Rain is not just falling water
Is the secret song of the earth
Flowing stories to silent roots
Arousing dreams in
the belly of the earth
Reviving a soul that is almost dry
Every drop is an unheard prayer
Every puddle is a mirror
Reminding us
Of the sky that once cried.
Dark clouds are not a curse
But rather cloth sewn by
the hands of time
Hiding colors that will later explode
In a whisper of light
When the rain stops, look
The rainbow shows its face
Like a dancer returning
From the wounds of the stage.
Not just colors in the curve of the air
That is the language of the deep sky
Telling a story that never ends
About a meeting at the end of loss
About wounds that heal in silence
About promises that remain intact
Even though the night comes
without stars.
Don't be afraid of the storm
Because it is only momentary
Behind the flood that shakes
There is beauty that waits patiently
The rainbow is a faithful messenger
Guiding your steps home
To a heart that knows
the meaning of eternity.
