A tiny drop of water wandered alone in the desert.
The sun was harsh, the wind was restless,
and the drop carried the weight of its own smallness.
Looking up to the sky, it whispered,
“I am too small…
I have no purpose…
How could I ever reach the ocean?”
An old breeze, passing gently by, answered:
“Little drop, you are not small —
the ocean lives hidden inside you.
All you need is the courage to leap.”
The drop trembled.
“But the leap means breaking…
What if I lose myself forever?”
The breeze smiled softly:
“That losing is the finding.
That breaking is the opening.
A drop that surrenders itself to the ocean
does not die —
it becomes the ocean.”
Hearing this, the drop let go of its fear.
It closed its eyes, gathered its courage,
and threw itself into the vast blue below.
The moment it touched the ocean,
its identity changed.
It was no longer a drop.
It was the ocean itself.
🌟 Spiritual Lesson
The “drop” is our ego, our little self.
