Hello dear friends of the Hive platform, my most sincere thanks to , for allowing us in just five minutes of free writing, to express what we think based on a simple daily phrase that you send to us, as well as to
, for adapting it to your Spanish version and together to carry out such a beautiful project.
Several years ago I worked in a public institution in Venezuela, it was a state security agency, in charge of punishing the bad guys and doing justice.
I worked there for 18 years, during all those years I experienced ugly things, inhuman things, like seeing a criminal take the life of a person to rob him, to cite an example.
The thing is that as a police officer, for many people you have to play the role of the bad guy, you have to arrest the offender, take him to trial and put him behind bars for his crime and for that simple fact the officer is labeled as the worst, that we have no heart, because when we go out to the streets to risk our lives we must be prepared for everything and think the worst that can happen to us, which is death.
However, when those people who label us, in some passage of life know us, they see that we do have a heart, that we laugh, suffer and cry like any other person and that is where they tell us, "You are human after all" a phrase that many times is hard for us to earn because of how we are seen by society, but take into account something, within the police there are bad officers, who make many mistakes and should be punished, but there are also people, serious, honest workers who give without asking for anything in return
