Conocí la soledad del camino,
vistiendo un traje dorado de lino.
El verdor de praderas eran yesca,

que trajeron los fugaces alisios,

I knew the loneliness of the road
wearing a golden linen suit.
The greenery of meadows were tinder,
yielding to a grotesque dance.

Thus I witnessed fantasies
brought by the fleeting trade winds,
fleeing from the ancient confraternities
led by patrician tyrants.

I inquired a better way,
while I felt the rancor of terror;
but time had already annihilated it,
with the iron hand of a principality.

I insisted on a better way,
finding a thousand stars and love,
she'd like glittering drops,
flung across the distant skies.

Will I find a better way?
Storms hurl at the truth,
toppling illusions and fervor,
lies begotten with malice.

I have searched for a better way,
now weary, and weary,
I perceive the faith and fervor passing away,
that once had cheered me.

My strength, vigor and passion return;
finding a better way,
by understanding the flight of a hawk,
by trusting its wings, and vision.
