We were wandering, or so it seemed at first.
With no distractions and unaware, of what was even beneath our feet. We just had this over riding desire, to move.
To keep moving.
We all felt the pull, an almost magnetic force, that kept us in motion. That sang to us, in the sweetest voice imaginable.
Our eyes may as well have been closed. We were shut off, to everything else. Only knowing, that nothing mattered more, than following this feeling, this knowing.
This extra sense, that was always within, but had somehow become shut down, had now been awaken. And even though our other senses where more dormant now, I can honestly say, that we had never felt more alive.
Because we could see more clearly now, than ever before. We saw past everything that surrounded us, all these things, they were now obsolete. Our sight expanded, as our awareness soared.
Everything opened up to us, with everything finally making sense.
Our movement was fluid, everything fell into place. A softness surrounded us, as we advanced forward. Whether it rained or not, it made no difference. Nothing would stop us now.
All our guilt, our fears, our expectations, had all been lifted away.
We were finally going home!

This is my entry into the latest 5 minute Free Write challenge, "Let's go home".
Just before I began to write, I knew I wanted to explore exactly, what home actually is. For some it is a place or a feeling, for some it will always be within. Or perhaps it is a state of mind. It's means something different to us all.
For me, it is a returning, a reawakening. An existence where we are co creators. Where we awake to our true potential. To shake off the last of our shackles. Whether they are physical or emotional.
To have the courage to step within and face who we are and all that we have done, the choices we have made, that have led us to where we are now. To embrace it all and in doing so, step into our power.
Because we are powerful. We hold the power to transform, to bring about change. We don't need to fill our lives with things, that only drag us down. We don't need to fill our time, obsessing over the lives of others. We need to keep all that energy for ourselves, so that we can live our own lives.
Returning Home.
